Manta Ray uses load distribution to transfer the pressure off your neck and spine (longer version)
The problem when squatting with the raw bar
During the barbell squat, a painful amount of weight presses against a very small contact area of your lower neck. This strain radiates downward, compressing your spine, leading to debilitating symptoms (pain, numbness, and burning sensations).
This is how the Manta Ray protects you from all that:
1. When you snap the  Manta Ray into the barbell, the barbell's narrow surface area  increases by 1600%.
