    General Comments:
Composite filling material is a resin-borden crystialine silicon dioxide composite. Starting with the original research of Dr.RL. Bowen at the National Bureau of Standards, Washington, D.C., Composite filling material has been developed to represent the finest composite dental restorative material available. Sould stored in a COOL dry place, but does NOT require refrigeration. Since composite filling material is homogenized it does not require stirring to keep the components from separating. Composite filling material contains no free acid which might cause pulp irritation. UNIVERSAL filling material has superb optical properties.
    Intention of us:
Aesthetic restorations of teeth filling cavities.
    Composition:
    Crystalline and fumed silicon dioxide
    Bisg-ma
    Stabilizer
    Chemical initiators
    Instructions for use:
    Cavity Preparation:
Prepare the cavity and remove the caries. If liners are required, composite filling material is compatible with calcium hydroxide and zinc phosphate cement. Etch the enamel surface in the apply layer of bonding prior to the application of the composite.
    Etching Tooth Surface Enamel:
Apple etchant over the surface enamel of the tooth using a cotton pellet or brush. Allow to remain for 20-30 seconds. On primary teeth high in fluoride, 90-120 seconds. If a glass ionomer base is used do not etch more than 20-30 seconds. Flush area completely for 20 seconds. Do not allow the patient to rinse the mouth or permit saliva to touch the etched enamel surface.
Air dry completely with an oil/moisture-free air source. The surface of the tooth should have a dull, white, frosted appearance. If not, repeat the process allowing etchant to remain on the tooth for an additional 20-30 seconds.
    Mixing Instructions:
Using the rounded end of the disposable plastic spatula, remove from the jar of the catalyst and amount of paste slightly less than volume of the cavity to be filled. Transfer this paste to the top sheet of the mixing pad. Replace cap on jar.
Using the flat squared end of the disposable plastic spatula, remove from the jar of base and amount of past approximately equal to the mixing pad alongside the catalyst paste already there. Replace cap on jar.
Using the flat squared end of the disposable plastic spatula, mix the two pastes for about 20 seconds using 1 to 3 strokes per second. The objective is to make the mixture as homogeneous as possible during this time. The composite filling material is now ready to isner in the cavity.
    Mixing Precautions:
-Keep composite filling material jars covered when not used.
-Remove only the amount of past needed. Never return either composite filling material paste to its jar.
-Always use both ends of the spatula as described in “mixing instructions”.
-Be certain to avoid cross-contamination of the pastes. The presence of either paste in the other will result in hardening of the pastin the jards.
-Never use a disposable spatula a second time.A used spatula could be a source of contamination.
-Do not use a metal spatula for mixing composite filling material.
    Placement:
Insert the mixing composite filling material into the dried prepared cavity using a non-metallic instrument designed for this purpose. Use a slight excess and apply matrix band. A mylar band is to be preferred composite filling material will begin to harden about 2 minutes from beginning of the mixing tier and will allow about 1 minute to 40 seconds for placement. The composite willfin material will set during the next 2 minutes and should not be distrubed during this period. Another 2 minutes will complete the hardening time when the matrix band may be removed and the surface of the filling finished and polished. See schematic Clock.
    Finishing:
At the end of six minutes from beginning of mixing composite filling material remove feather flash with a sharp instrument . Finish if necessary using a diamond or carborundum stone or carbide bur various polishing materials are available which will proved good results.
