Var model 74 “Atomic” Wheel Truing Stand. For Bicycle, Motorcycle And Wheelchair wheels, or anything with spokes that fit. In close to brand new condition.
15-1/2” or so maximum wheel radius measured axle to rim.
Hub width up to 7-3/4” locknut to locknut.
Has inserts for hollow axle hubs.
Solid axle diameter up to 9/16”.
I am the original owner, purchased in 1983. This was my home truing stand. It has never been mounted in a shop, or used much by anyone besides my wife and I. Early in my career I used to bring home up to 5 or 6 wheels per night and relace and build wheels with my wife. I also built wheels on the side for the local racers and friends.
I got it since I have also worked on a fair amount of wheelchairs and occasionally a scooter, ebike, or motorcycle wheel. I still have the original box Var packaged it in and will send it in that box, packed in a second box.
It is slightly more time consuming to set up then alot of the other shop quality stands, but way more versatile.
