    Vintage California Dept. of Conservation-Division of Forestry Patch 1961
    Offered here is a genuine patch from the California Department of Conservation-Division of Forestry. This shoulder patch was adopted by the CDF in 1961. It was to be worn on the right shoulder. 1961 was also the year that the Calif. Dept. of Conservation was formed and so the new patch for forest firefighters. The original patch was just under 3" in diameter. It became an actual 3" after that. This patch lasted until 1976. At that time the Dept. of Conservation became the Division of Forestry and the patch changed.
    This patch, and others I will be auctioning, are original CDF patches. They are from the collection of a relative of mine who was a firefighter and a Captain at several camps over the years. I have kept some for myself. Look carefully at the pics. Feel free to ask any questions.
